Level 1 - Safe Food Handler Person In Charge (PIC)

Safe Food Handler empowers employees as they learn how food becomes unsafe and what their role is in keeping food safe. ServSafe® is the industry standard for food safety education. Participants receive the ServSafe Food Handler Guide and Ohio Persin In Charge Training Certificate of Completion.

This class is for employees who prepare and serve food for others and are required by the Health Department to have Person-In-Charge training but NOT Manager Certification Food Protection (formerly Level 2). Instructor is Pat Holmes, who is an Ohio Department of Health approved provider.

Food Safety Manager 2

Montgomery County Extension office partners with the TAP Series. This program meets the Ohio Department of Health requirement for Level 2 Certification in Food Protection. The registration fee is $150 includes the online class and exam. Individuals take the online class through TAP then take the exam in person at the Extension Office.
