Youth EFNEP in Montgomery County is targeted toward youth primarily in grades 2-12, both at schools and in out-of-school time (OST) community settings.  EFNEP youth programs can be taught in schools, churches, after-school programs, summer camps, residential programs, and many more locations.

A school district qualifies for youth EFNEP if 50% or greater of their student population is receiving free or reduced-price school lunch/breakfast.

Youth EFNEP is offered as a series of seven, dynamic 30-45 minute lessons.  Lessons are based on MyPlate concepts and include basic nutrition, label reading, increasing physical activity and food safety.
