New Project at the Dayton VA CLC (Community Living Center) aka Lakeside Manor in Building 420
This Montgomery County Master Gardener Volunteer project promotes education, biodiversity and a shift in culture for Veteran residents programs.
Located within two courtyards at the Dayton VA nursing home, these gardens, raised beds and pots, used with recreational therapy, are designed and will be maintained with the assistance of Master Gardener Volunteers through the Ohio State University Extension. The recreational therapists and resident veterans primary goal is to support pollinators, such as butterflies and birds, by providing a natural habitat filled with seasonal nectar sources.
