“A Day in the Show Ring” is an event for youth not in 4-H, ages 8-18 (Youth with special needs up to age 40 welcome). 

Participants will be able to request one species to show: goat, rabbit, or chicken. Non-4-H youth will be paired with a Jr. Fair mentor, ages 12—through alumni & parents. Mentors will provide the animal(s) for use in this clinic. Time will be allotted for participants to work with their mentor in order to get to know their show animal and learn about care, grooming, and how to present their animal to the judge in the show ring. After one-on-one time, showmanship “judging” will begin.

Event starts at 6 p.m. with one-on-one time to work with mentors to get to know their show animal. Participants will share their knowledge during showmanship "judging" starting at 7 p.m.
