Master Gardener Volunteer Horticulture Helpline Open
FREE Help available for residents in Montgomery County.
OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are trained on the Horticulture Helpline to answer gardening questions by providing researched based information.
Homeowners may call the Horticulture Helpline, 937- 224 - 9654, April 1 - October 31; Monday - Friday: 9am - 12pm and 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Bring in a fresh sample of your plant, bug, fungus or flower. The MGV Horticulture Helpline office is located at 1001 S Main Street Dayton, Ohio 45409 (within the Montgomery County Fairgrounds).
Call the Horticulture Helpline--no question is too small or incidental. The Master Gardener Volunteers try to give answers over the phone, direct you to valuable sources on the Internet or send you printed material.
You may email your question and or picture to: montmg@ag.ohio-osu.edu. If Master Gardener Volunteers can’t give you an immediate answer, they will research your issue and get back with you later.
The Montgomery County Master Gardener Volunteer Program is an educational outreach program provided and administered by the Ohio State University Extension. 125 Greater Montgomery County Master Gardener Association members are engaged in educational programs, opportunities, and activities for gardeners of all ages ranging from community landscape projects, horticulture seminars, public events such as Home & Garden Shows, Gardening Conferences and the Montgomery County Fair.
