Coshocton County's first Master Gardener Program was initiated in January 2001. There are currently 24 active Master Gardeners in Coshocton County. In 2009 they volunteered 1259.00 hours to beautifying and educating our community and spent 548.75 hours continuing to educate themselves. In 2010, Coshocton County OSU Extension experienced an 88% budget reduction. To date, MGVs are trying to determine their course of action in these difficult times.

File Master Gardener Spring Lunch & Learn
Learn a little more about gardening over the lunch hour! Join Tammi Rogers for six “quick ‘n dirty” classes designed to fit into your busy schedule. There is no registration fee, simply bring your own lunch and enjoy a few moments of learning with friends. Come for one class or all six– the choice is yours. Classes held on the following Tuesdays: April 13- Basic Vegetable Gardening; April 20- Lawn Care; April 27- Five Overlooked Trees for the Landscape; May 4- Herb Gardening; May 11- Insects: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly and May 18- Container Gardening. All classes are from 12:15-12:45 p.m. at the OSU Extension office (County Services Building, 724 South 7th Street, Room 110). No registration fee– please call or email to RSVP.
