4-H In the Classroom
Kits and ideas for teachers to use "in the classroom."
"4-H in the Classroom"
Dear Teacher,
Information on our “4-H in the Classroom” teaching kit offerings for Spring, 2008 is enclosed. These 4-H kits are “teacher-friendly” - - lessons and most supplies and equipment are included. Cost to borrow the kits is $12. These fees help defray the cost of non-re-usable kit supplies. Kit descriptions and goals are at the bottom of this letter.
To reserve a 4-H teaching kit, complete and return the enclosed form. Booking policy is “first-received; first-served.” Because of demand, no more than 3 incubators per school. (requests for additional can be put on a waiting list.)
Fees MUST be paid at time of kit pick-up, unless other arrangements are made. The bill for fees is the confirmation letter with your “borrow date”.
Teaching kits must be picked up and returned to the Extension Office, Fairgrounds, Dayton.
Pick-ups and returns as per the enclosed dates are between 3pm - 6:00pm. Please call for other time arrangements. A parent/volunteer may pick-up/return the kits for you.
4-H is the Youth Development Program of Ohio State University Extension in cooperation with the Montgomery County Commissioners and United States Department of Agriculture. The four “H’s” stand for Head, Hands, Heart, and Health. The mission of 4-H is to involve caring adults in helping youth reach their fullest potential as capable, competent, caring and contributing citizens.
